![]() Most repairs are typically just a battery replacement. Units will be upgraded to the latest firmware available and will receive any appropriate hardware upgrades. If the electronics inside the unit are dirty or have a film on them, they will be cleaned. Units will be inspected and tested before and after repairs. And in the very rare case where a unit is beyond repair, you will not be charged for the inspection and we will inform you of the problem. After inspection if we determine a unit will cost more then $30 to repair we will notify you before proceeding. Occassionally a unit will have a more serious problem that may cost more to repair or that may even be beyond repair. Even if your unit does not have a problem you are welcome to send the unit in for a general check up and testing for the same $30 fee. Most repairs that are done out of warranty will cost $30 per unit (plus shipping costs). If 2 years have elapsed since purchasing your unit, or if damage has been caused to the unit that is not covered by the warranty, then you will need to pay for repairs to your units. Please see Sending Units In For Repair below. So the bottom line is: Don't play hockey with the unit, don't use it as a boat anchor, and don't use it as a coaster for your beer. If we deem that the reason for part failure was not caused by the liquid (if it is obvious), we will still make the repair under warranty. If, however, a drink or other liquid gets on the unit at some point, this does not automatically void the warranty.
